The Livelihood Project strives to empower impoverished women by providing tools necessary to start or grow their own businesses.

Originally named Menstrual Management Project, began in 2009 with a Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) partnership with AFAWI Ghana. The project aims to bridge the gender gap in schools to create equal opportunities for all students.

Empowering Communities: Care and Assistance for Deprived and Vulnerable Children (ECCACHILD) Project targets marginalised children in communities who have slipped through the net of government and social protection, AFAWI provides basic needs, education and health care.
