ECCACHILD Project strives to better the lives of vulnerable children through:
1. Education – Providing school fees, supplies, textbooks and transportation.
2. Health Insurance – Registering for National Health Insurance and providing access to free health care.
3. Special Medical Attention - Providing vulnerable children with special needs access to specialized medical attention
4. Health Screening – Providing health screening and educate citizens the health services available to them, specifically in rural communities.
Access to education for poor families in Ghana is a prevalent problem. This is due to the hidden costs involved with sending a child to school, which include purchasing uniforms, school books, bag, shoes, meals and transport.
These are extra costs that are not obtainable to families living in poverty.
Children need an education to stop the cycle of poverty that would otherwise continue within their family.
Sustainable development is only reachable if education can be accessible by all children.
